Acer laptop problem.

Hi i sadly recently dropped my acer laptop, it says it needs to boot disc or press any button.
ive done everything in my power to boot it up. sometimes it dosent even turn on just the lights and fans. if anyone can help i would be grateful.

Almost certainly the delicate hard drive has been damaged and will therefore have to be replaced.

Additionally, because your laptop sometimes won't even turn on, other internal damage may have occurred.

Replace the hard drive, restore Windows to it with your recovery discs (you should have made a set when your laptop was new), then see what other problems remain if any.

It is an Acer v5-571. What kind of HDD would work with my acer, im looking to spend about 100 euros on it.

You'll need a 2.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD.

Laptop HDDs come in two heights - - 7mm or 9.5mm (7mm for very slim laptops & netbooks) so check the height of your existing one before you buy.
