I recently bought an SSD for my laptop for work purposes. I used my desktop PC to install windows onto the SSD since my laptop doesn't have a DVD drive. I then installed the SSD into the laptop and now the laptop just says "No Bootable Devices"

When I go into BIOS it just says "Insert bootable device" and there's no options to do anything at all in the BIOS, just a screen to select a bootable device which says there are none.

When I put the original HDD back into my laptop it starts up and runs just fine. It's only the SSD that it doesn't recognize.

So right now I don't have a clue what to do, not sure if it's a bad SSD or just a cheap laptop that can't be upgraded. Any help is appreciated.

Laptop is an Acer aspire E15
SSD is a kensington 240GB

it is a bios & windows setting that is the issue. what windows? installing windows onto the ssd while connected to the desktop will not work as it will either loop or do the bsod. either get a portable dvd drive even borrowed or make a bootable windows flash drive to install windows from.
