Acer no longer charges or turns on

My Acer Aspire V3-571g no longer charges or turns on, I was using it the put it to sleep for about 30 mins now it wont charge or anything.
Its specs are:
i5 3230m
GT 630m
500gb HDD
6GB RAM

I'd really appreciate some advice as I use it for college work and need it back working

Unplug it from charger, put the battery out for 5 minutes and click power button like you intent to power it on.
After that reinsert battery and try again.

I forgot to mention that non of the lights turn on even when plugged in

try another ac brick and cord...see if the ac brick output is lower then it stamped. check to see if the power pin on the laptop is broken off.

Ive tested the powersupply with a multimeter and its putting through just over 19v

check online see if there a cmos reset on the laptop mb. some have them next to the cmos battery on the bottom next to the ram. try clearing the ram. if it not the ram then the unit may have over heated or the system board has failed.
