Hi,
Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Start by doing a hard reboot, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then boot it up.
- Once it's on the desktop screen press the Windows key + P at the same time and select between Duplicate or Extended display then press Enter.
- If it doesn't work do uninstall/reinstall the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics driver.
- Check Programs and Features and uninstall anything related to the graphics card.
- Next is to download and install the latest driver. (Nvidia or AMD)
- Reboot your laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- After the reboot try if your external display will work or not.
- If it doesn't work try a different cable or a different monitor and see if the same problem will persist or not.
