I recently came across a set of AR-1s. I hooked the speakers up to a Sony receiver and there is nothing..no volume or static. Can someone send me in a direction to find the problem.

Take the speakers apart and replace the woofer, tweeter, crossover, or check for a blown fuse in the speaker.
Generic speaker parts are cheap and plentiful, all over the internet.
