[citation][nom]thegreathuntingdolphin[/nom]So the Wii is suped up gamecube[/citation]
Actually, nothing can quite be said with utter certainity because Nintendo, IBM, and ATi/AMD have been so incredibly opaque about the exact contents and nature of the Wii's hardware. Every "exact" figure given has been traced back to a baseless and sourceless claim that IGN made before the console was even released, way back in mid-2006; since then exactly zero information has come forth, hence more or less gauranteeing that IGN's figures were fabricated.
[citation][nom]giovanni86[/nom]Man the LAN parties i would of had if the game was released for 360.[/citation]
Uh, last I knew, multiplayer on the Xbox 360, save for a handful of games, was restricted to Xbox Live. (and those exceptions were a handful of games like PDZ and
Halo 3 that allowed split-screen multiplayer)
[citation][nom]Antilycus[/nom]That's a fact. As a developer...[/citation]
Actually, the numbers you gave are
outright fabricated, and hence I call BS on your claim to be a developer. It's well-established that as of just this past spring, the
Xbox 360's attach rate is 8.8, and is believed to include XBLM/XBLA sales. Yes, compared to the other consoles, it is in first place; but hardly by the margin you claim; From the same time, the rates were
8.8 for the 360, 8.1 for the PS3, and 7.7 for the Wii; all rather close to each other, and well above mobile platforms, like 5.6 for the DS and a measly 4.0 for the PSP.
Looking at the trendlines from this, we can look at this
year-old article from GamaSutra, which suggests that the 360's rate has been leveling off; a year ago, those numbers were 8.3, 6.5, and 6.2, meaning that in the past year or so, the 360 increased by only 0.5, versus 1.6 and 1.5, respectively, for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii. In other words,
sales growth is cooling on the Xbox 360. And it's NOT reaching the maximum "possible" attach rate, since the chart linked in the second article reports a whopping 10.3 attach rate for the PS2.
All told, I think we can establish a few things here:
-Games do sell on the Wii.
-Xbox 360 software sales are slowing in growth.
-You don't know what you're talking about, and cited sources ALWAYS trump crude, fanboy conjecture.
