Adding Music to Android

Is there a way to upload music and save playlists on a Android phone without using a music player program like double twist or iTunes like interface. I read a few places it may be possible to simply create a folder, add the music files and then transfer the folder to the phone using Windows explorer . Is this possible?

Yes that's possible. Look on youtube, there are plenty of tutorials on how to transfer over mp3 files to your android phone via USB cable or with a Micro SD card.

I have all my mp3s in a folder marked Music. No problems so far.

I want to make Folder playlists, certain songs in a certain folder as a playlist, Can I organize the music that way.

That will depend on your player. There are players on droid that will handle playlists.
