Advise on budget laptop for college

Hi,
I've been looking around for a cheap laptop that I can take to school and be able to sit there all day without having it charging. I originally was looking for something around $200, maybe $300 max, but then ran into this ASUS (https/www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834234652). It's got great reviews, and it apparently has great battery life as well as performance.

I then was looking at the same model, but with the Celeron processor instead of Pentium. I just was wondering how much of a hit on performance there would be going with a Celeron? I can save $150 by getting that model, but I am a bit worried about how long applications will take to load, and how much multitasking I'll be able to do (I want to be able to have Word open, as well as several internet tabs simultaneously).

Advise on that would be appreciated, or else if you have any other laptop suggestions, I am open to hearing them as well. Thank you.

What is "this ASUS"? Link or model?

I think that $200 won't get you a laptop which will run you thru 4-year college. If you know what you'll be studying, check what you'ld need for some classes - it might turn you need a computer capable of running XXXX application.

I should mention, I do have a powerful PC, and laptop at home, but the one I have is a gaming laptop so definitely not suitable for carrying around all day, nor being without a charger for any decent period of time.

I can't seem to find any info about the lower model with the Celeron (US04 instead of US21)

If you look closely at the differences, it's not just the CPU, is the SSD size as well. While Celeron model will give you longer battery life, I would go with Pentium version.
