After optimizing apps my zte midnight pro wont come back on and the red light is flashing

After android operating systems done an update my zte midnight pro wont come stay on off of charge and it says its charged 100% but I unplug it and it black screens and the red light flashes. I am wanting to do a factort reset to see if that will fix the problwm but it won't come on so I can do it.

Sounds like the battery is in need of replacing.
