So I dont understand anything, its started when I can't install AVG Free Antivirus. Then I read something about taking ownership of partition C: (my primary partition). So I did that. I took ownership of entire C drive. Because I thought the "trusted installer" forbid me to install AVG.
Then when I reset my laptop it took forever at the "Please Wait" window and I'm now stuck at my login window. The loop keeps going around and it doesn't change to my desktop. What should I do?
People keep saying to run into safe mode but I can't even press F8, when I press it it doesn't do anything.

Should I reinstall my windows? Or should I keep waiting? Please help.
I run on Windows 10 64bit. Laptop HP R017tx core i3.

Hi,

If loading in Safe Mode will also not work you're left with reinstalling Windows 10 in your laptop. Use the System Recovery disc that came with your laptop or if it didn't come with a recovery disc, you can always just create Windows 10 bootable disc yourself.

Here's how to create a bootable Windows 10 USB or disc:

Here's how to install Windows 10:

But if your want the OEM Windows 10 that came with your PC with all the software that came in with your laptop, do contact HP to order the factory reset disc.

Try also doing the factory reset without the System Recovery disc. Please follow the link below for the complete guide.

Yes thank you for the solution, I ended up reinstalling my windows 10 again without contactiong HP, and did what you sugest to make a bootable usb for win 10, because reinstalling was the only solution I guess. Take a lot of work but at least its fungtional again. Thank you for your reply!
Have a good day!
