Hi, I bought the tablet sometime last year and used it for a short while for internet use. I have switched it on today as I want to use it as a phone. I dial the number, there's a tone, the word "dialling" shows, but it stops and says something about call forwarding on conditional. I don't know how I went about it now, but eventually I did something, re-dialled and the same thing happened only without the comment about call forwarding. How can I make a call?

Maybe there was a small allowance of free calls to get you started and it's run out of time.

Hi, I took it to the shop and although there's a telephone icon on it, it turns out it can't be used as a phone in the normal way , only through some sort of telephonic method such as Skype, etc.

Oh dear. Some manufacturers can be con-tricksters to make products look better than they really are.

Here in England we have local Gorvernment officials who would frown on that behaviour. You probably have the same.
