Alienware 13" r1 vs the Alienware 15" r2

Keep in mind I will be getting an external hard drive. It will be mostly used for playing War Thunder and similar games. I would either get the Alienware 13" R1 with 16 gigs of ram and the Nvidia GTX960M and a 256gb SSD or the 15" Alienware R2 with 8 gigs of ram and the Nvidia GTX 965M and the 1TB SATA hard drive. I need help on deciding which one to buy.

If you just game with your notebook and don't do anything else demanding then the Alienware R2 is better.

I understand that the R2 has better stats but I also am slightly worried about the weight of the 15" being too heavy at 7lbs compared to the 13" having a 4 1/2 lbs weight

True, If you want portability over more screen then the R1 is better.

Spec wise the r2 is better. But the r1 is not a bad deal either if you value portability over power.
