Alienware or custom Quosmio (see tech specs within)

Hi people, I was hoping someone could lend their insight and help me make a choice here. The Toshiba Quosmio I've customized is $1500 (discounts/tax/shipping included) and the Alienware M17X is $2100 (discounts/tax/shipping included). As you will see, the Quosmio significantly outspecs or matches the M17X on all counts, but I don't know whether the M17X could still be better in some mysterious way. M17X's generally outperform Qusmios on benchmark tests, but none of those tests have compared a superior-specced Quosmio to an inferior-specced M17X. Please note that I am Canadian so these are not the prices most of you will find online.

Here are the specs, the first line for each component is Quosmio and the second line is Alienware:

- Intel® Core™ i7-3630QM Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.40 GHz) with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology
- 3rd generation Intel® Core™ i7-3630QM processor (6MB Cache, up to 3.4GHz w/Turbo Boost 2.0)

- 16GB DDR3 1600MHz SDRAM
- 16GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz (4DIMMS)

-128GB SSD (Solid State Disk, Serial ATA), 1TB 2nd HDD (5400rpm, Serial-ATA)
- 750GB 7,200 RPM Storage + 128GB mSATA Boot Drive [not sure whether mSATA is the same as SSD or not....?]

- 3GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 670M with Optimus™ Technology
- 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660M

- Both have 1920 x 1080 resolution on their 17.3in displays

Please let me know your thoughts. I think it's obvious that the Quosmio is better, not to mention $600 cheaper, but because I'm not a tech guru I don't know whether other types of things not listed in the specs could still make the M17X come out on top.
