Hey guys and gals,
I've been looking at ultra-portables again recently (only reason i haven't bought one yet is a general inability to make my mind up...)
I'm still very (VERY) tempted by the Alienware M11x - it's small, light, perfect for travelling, has great power (i.e. i can be happily working one minute, and then i can jump onto things like LOTRO/EvE/CoD on low/medium settings and do some light work/play etc.) - the illuminated keyboard is a nice touch too; means i can also write essays at night in bed without disturbing the wife too much by having lights on etc.
My only issue (apart from the £700+ price tag for an 11" netbook...) is, well, the Alienware is not exactly subtle is it?
I know this may sound like the most obvious statement in the world, but i was hoping to find something that was of similar power/capability in the ultra portable market (i.e. 11-15" screen) that could play games as and when i get an hour or two to myself whilst travelling, but perhaps looks a little more subtle than a netbook that looks like it was birthed by Giger.
Any suggestions?
Price wise? Not overly fussed - if i can find any half decent netbook capable of occasional gaming for £500(ish), preferably as portable as possible, then i will be a happy bunny; at this point it's more wondering what the options are.
Thanks all!
HG
