altec hp lap top looking for help..

Need help to figure out what happening, computer just stop working? turns on but no screen, cap lock is blinking in the right hand corner, can't to get screen back. the only thing i did was wipe down screen and key broad with rag and no water was on it so how can this happen?

You may have hit the Fn-key to switch the screen from internal to external?
