Amazon Prime/Direct Tv closed captioning

My parents have a smart TV and use Direct TV. They use closed captioning as at 87 years old, sometimes they have difficulty hearing. They are able to change the font size in the regular tv shows they watch and on Netflix but we are having a hard time changing font size on Amazon Prime. Have followed Amazon direction s but the font size is still the same size on TV. Can anyone give some suggestions?

* Is there any set-top or streaming stick involved? (Apple TV, Roku, etc?)

Thank you! They have a Samsung TV. About a year old. No devices except the box from Direct TV. They have no issues with changing the font size on Netflix or “regular”. Shows, only Amazon Prime. And the instructions on the Amazion Prime site do not change the font size.

When they change the font size on Netflix, are they using the DirecTV box or are they doing so through the settings of the Samsung TV?

Also, what model Samsung TV?
