Since the first day, I was expecting smooth gameplay for at least low quality settings of new games, but my laptop can't handle it. I play CS:GO on the very lowest settings to get it smooth; any higher and I experience lag. I've yet to find a fix to this. I have tried using a game booster and updating drivers, but it still hasn't helped. People online have the same specs and no lag. What can I do? The laptop is a Lenovo G505S, 6GB ram, EVO 840 SSD installed.

Solution
Shared graphics memory rather than dedicated graphics memory will always remain a critical problem in laptops, until we can get our hands on some much, much faster RAM. Cards that are "up to" a certain amount of memory tend to have relatively lower limitations than what we'd expect to see from a dedicated card of the same calibre. The card in question is rather out-dated, to be honest. Once a card is on the market for a year or two, they tend to have 12 sister cards that can out-do them with half their memory closed :p
