Android apps gone

I have a basic unipad android tablet with various apps which has worked fine for over a year. This morning when I powered it up, the app icons were present but none exist on the tablet or SD card. What can I do???

Apps usuakky do not sit on SD card, unless your Android supports that function.
You can try reinstalling them, or performing "factory reset".
