Android tv box to projector display issues

I have an MX pro android box which connects to my tv via hdmi perfectly with no display problems. When I connect it to my projector through my theatre system the display is far to large to see the menu on Kodi. I have adjusted the screen settings on both the projector and the android box. I use the same connection for a freeview set top box and the display is perfect.
Any suggestions please

You can try adjusting the projector to not overscan the image. Check the manual to see if and where in the menu you can make this adjustment.
