Antlion ModMic 4 Mute Switch Issue

Hello! I have a question regarding my Modmic 4. I've been using it over the last couple years without any issues (still sounds great), but over the last 2-3 months the inline mute switch has developed a popping sound that's transmitted when muting or unmuting the mic. It has been getting progressively worse to the point that it's pretty loud/obnoxious now.

Has anyone dealt with this and attempted to take apart the mute switch to fix it?

Replacing the mute switch is basically impossible, I am afraid @teey. That said, are you sure the pop sound is new? The mute always gives a pop sound because its an analog mute, always has. It's loudest when you first mute the mic and then will be less poppy in future mutes till you power off the machine. If its getting louder it is probably developing a short and you shouldn't use it anymore (because if it goes out entirely it may kill the entire mic).

Hope that helps, even if it isn't the answer you are hoping for!
