Any idea why my iTunes podcast downloads are unbearably slow?

My downloads are quick when downloading large files from any other site (Titanfall took a couple hours), but a 16MB podcast on itunes can take 16-20 mins. Do you have any idea why this would be? (It's to a 5TB internal drive which does not have my OS).

I am not sure, if a podcast is in the iTunes store, if it is physically stored on Apple's hardware with Apple's bandwidth or if the owner can host the storage and the bandwidth could be limited by the owner's bandwidth.

After looking at Apple's documentation, a podcast can be limited by the webhosting bandwidth of the author.
