Any Utility to Mount Tivo Drive Under Windows 2000?

Is there any utility that will allow you to mount a Linux file
system read-only under Windows 2000? I want to be able to
make copies of my Tivo videos to a Windows 2000 file system, and
I don't want to spend time hacking the Tivo box. I prefer to
take out the drive, make a passive copy of the files, and then
re-insert the Tivo back into its original operating environment.

You cannot do what you ask. The Tivo files are stored in encrypted
format in a database.

What is the easiest way to get the content back to a non
encrypted binary? I guess there are lots of hacks out there
that modify Tivo boxes and add in http servers, ftp servers, etc.
I'm not clear on how can those work if the content is encrypted.

Hack the box

They dont UNencrypt the content. The hacks turn encryption off for
future recordings.

There are ways to unencrypt the content. If you're hacking the box, this
might make sense to do.

The easiest way to do it is to add a TurboNet board to your TiVo and install the
TYTools and download the images over ethernet via TyStudio. Works like a champ.
The shows aren't just sitting on a hard drive in a nice, neat form like you'd
expect. It's spread over many files and getting

You're wasting your time trying anything other than the ethernet approach.

Just FYI you only need the TurboNet board for a series 1, if you have a USB
port on the back, you can just go with something like a Netgear FA-120 USB
ethernet dongle.
