Solved! anyone know of a BT speaker that stays on when always connected to power

hello everyone,

I am wondering if anyone here knows of any portable Bluetooth speakers that will always stay on when connected to power.

my situation is i have a sony BT speaker that i am using with a small amazon echo dot that i connect via the 3.5mm jack and i always have it plugged into the charger but it will automatically power off even when the echo is still active but with nothing playing and it is always connected to a power outlet

Why does it need to be portable Bluetooth if it's plugged in with the 3.5mm cable and always on power?

Wouldn't computer speakers work in this usage?

European standards for electronics require a very very small draw when gear is not being used so I suspect that most BT speakers will have the same design.
As MCMunroe suggests use any self powered speaker that doesn't have BT and it should be fine.
