Anyone with lost android phone experience and disconnected your line

Lost my phone disconnected it days later. If I still have the phone saved in my android device manager can it still track it if someone else go and activates it as a new line? I locked it before it died out does it stay locked if someone finds it charges it and tries to use it or does it unlock since I deactivated the phone.

If it's no longer linked to your account, you won't be able to track it.

The phone will not unlock but if anyone tries to use it they will just wipe it anyway.
