A buddy of mine is looking for a decent gaming/work laptop for thee upcoming school years and wanted to get some advice for a decent notebook for around 500$ or less. $500 and "decent gaming" frankly are mutually exclusive. I'd say $850 or so is the starting point for something that will get him thru college

Alright, well I suppose he isnt planning on playing Skyrim on max settings or anything. Just something that could get him by on a less demanding game like Combat Arms.
