You hate what you can't understand or what you don't want to understand and manny times what is different from you. People who hate America in the world may have a limited vision like you do with Apple, and this thinking and acting can't be justified but we need to accept it exist and is very common. Be proud of you are as a country as a society, see what is good about America because there are manny in the world who love your country. In my appreciation my love about America is not enough to make me blind and not to see manny difficulties you as a society may have. But every other society has their problems and limitations. There are so manny reasons to hate, but pic one reason to get closer to those misleading feelings.

Now, if every company spent as much money and thought on advertising as Apple, then Apple won't be as well known as it is now. But then, there probably won't be as many products either.

When was the last major change in Apple's designs? Every other company seems to come out with a new laptop or PC ever few weeks or less, while Apple has just recently changed it's computer's hardware.

I'm not surprised that they hit 1 million sells already due to their ads and brand name, what I am surprised at is that other companies aren't thinking of new ways to compete, other then churning out new models every few weeks.

In my nonpartison opinion, I think the iPad overall is good, and for two reasons.

1. Apple shareholders are probably the happiest people on earth now.
2. Since Apple gets a lot of attention in the market, other competitors will be pushed to make something faster, better, and (hopefully) cheaper in order to balance out the market.

I know the iPad itself is bad as far as hardware goes, but it does have it's (tiny) niche in the market. At least both Jobs and most customers will go home happy... :|

Its funny that i haven't seen anyone with one yet. I live in a major city too. All the apple users i know say its just a toy and not worth the money. Whats really funny is all the iphone users i know that switched to Andriod phones in the past few months.

So everyone who buy a PC or any none Apple product are smart buyers who know what the want or need. Well, I have a PC. I am a PC guy too and I piked the parts, builded and overclocked my PC to run specific Pro, very high end 3D software I am happy with and I earn my life with. But I also have a Mac Pro I use for other Pro software useful to me and that I like a lot. And I have a lot fun with my machines too. So guilty, I am shallow I am an idiotic ignorant. I receive a lot of the hate from PC users because I "dare" to use an ENJOY the Mac.

Point me to any scientific long term study that supports that people with lower intellects, selfesteem, incomes, that are bittered or shallow are mostly the ones buying Apple products.

No one is stupid for buying Apple products or smart because they don't buy any.

Manny arguments against Apple are personal or social issues with insults and hate that pretend to hide and reduce their limited vision to just hardware and processing power numbers for every user need. As if someone in your family and friends or mine buy an Apple product and they instantly become idiots.

And I would like higher processing power too, but in the order of 10X we have because any image I render takes half an hour.In the end, I prefer to work with what I think give me some comfort than to have a bad time every time because I NEED price/performance as the only acceptable equation. My PC is not the fastest and neither is my Mac.

Friends, really!! don't insult me. This is not about being right per se this is about taking advantage of what is available and how. I am not going to feel guilty every time I buy a pair of fancier snickers Do you think the PC or Mac ecosystem is a religion?

How did comparing those two numbers imply hatred or fanboi-ism? I chose the WoW numbers because WoW is the most mainstream MMO there is, and it is still a fringe market. However, the iPad sales are less than 10% of that fringe market! This is not a noteworthy number by any means.

Get to 10 million and then it becomes more impressive, 100 million and THEN trumpet about the success of the iPad.
