Hi,

Looking for an app that automatically backs up apps every time before I update them to allow downgrades to earlier versions in case updated app is not good.

Preferably should auto-backup to cloud services like Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox etc.

Thanks

No such thing really exists that is totally safe that I would use. Most programs are installed directly from the Play Store for security and you can't write them out to an external location. Some apps you can get the direct installer for and there are some places you can find the APK files for. Read through this https://www.androidpolice.com/2021/07/01/go-back-older-version-app-android/

Another option is to use a backup of your device https://www.androidtipsandhacks.com/root/downgrade-apps-to-an-older-version-on-an-android-phone-or-tablet/

There may be some apps in the Play store for backing up the programs but I've never tried them and since they would be against the terms and conditions of the use of most programs it's probably not a great idea to use them.

From your link:

"This app used to work flawlessly, but as of today I am getting an "API_UNAVAILABLE" error "
"Mailwarebytes was detecting your app as ransomwhare "
"Beware. This service simply does not work. Look online at the thousands of posts from people who lost data. It simply does not restore the data it backed up . "
"Now I know why all my text messages were deleted. This app even when uninstalled is deleting all messages repettively, ever and again. "

Buyer beware...
