Are there alot of differences between 16 gb ram-128ssd-1tb hdd // 8 gb ram- 128ssd-1tb hdd

Hello i need a new laptop and i dont know much about laptops, pc's and hardware so i came here to ask advice.

These are my picks

Pick 1. Lenovo y520-15

Intel Core i7-7700HQ
16 GB RAM - 128 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

Pick 2. Hp omen 15-ax280nd

Intel Core i7-7700HQ
8 GB RAM - 128 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

well if the price is the same then go with the lenovo.8gb is kinda the standard nowadays but more ram is better as newer games tends to chuck up system ram.not to mention background processes.

16gb ram is better of course,you can even take the 8 but just make sure it's in dual channel,it helps a lot in games
