Astro mixamp or soundcard?

So I have been using my sennheiser mix amp, and I like it a lot. It is a bit old and I have heard only good things about the astro mixamp. My question is, is there a sound card out there that will turn 5.1 sound into something that sounds like surround sound but runs on 2 channels (what the astro mixamp does)?
