ASUS 1015PEM Error Message " Interrupted Operation"

Hello, I was trying to merge 2 partitions into 1 of my ASUS 1015PEM notebook using the Paragon Hard Disk Manager. It was in the process when all of a sudden the PC went blank. I rebooted and what appeared on the screen was the error message "Interrupted operation: Insert the Recovery CD or other recovery media and reboot your PC". I placed the recovery DVD on a DVD drive hooked to the USB port. I pressed F9 after reboot but the error message was still onscreen. I rebooted and pressed F9 but to no avail. I also tried pressing F2 after reboot so I can access the BIOS but the error message was still onscreen. I also visited the ASUS Eee PC forum and followed their advice but the same error message is constantly on the screen after each and every reboot. I would highly appreciate any assistance at this point. Thank you.

It sounds like you totally confused the hard drive partitioning. You may have lost you data - I don't know if recovery software will be able to recover data from merging 2 partitions.

You can try Recuva. http/www.piriform.com/recuva

If this doesn't work, you may just have to re-install Windows.

I also tried the option of reinstalling Windows but due to one reason its F2 key to access the boot menu does not work just like its F9 key. Thanks
