Hi,
Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- While on the black screen with the mouse cursor, press CTRL+ALT+DEL then select Task Manager.
- If Task Manager will open click on File on the upper left hand corner and select Run New Task or New Task then type in explorer.exe and click OK.
- If it will load your normal desktop screen, open Task Manager then click on Startup tab.
- Once opened, disable all the startup items that you don't need then reboot the laptop again.
- But if Task Manager will not open in the first try, do try to load in Safe Mode.
- While the laptop is booting up repeatedly press on F8 until it loads Advanced Boot Options then select Safe Mode.
- In Safe Mode do perform System Restore, restore the laptop to an earlier date or time before the problem even happened.
- Here's how to run System Restore:

- If Safe Mode will also not work your last option would be to reinstall Windows.
