Asus AI Suite 3 software......

I have a Z97Pro mobo on order. Is the AI Suite 3 software usable?

I have been scouring the internet today and I've seen several posts at several different forums with horror stories on how the software doesn't install properly, on how it won't un-install if you've had a problem, how you have to select "unblock" in the properties tab to try and get it to run if you did get it installed.

Why does Asus put out software with this many problems when they can make good motherboards with great UEFI Bios?!?

Can somebody explain to me what the process is to install the AI Suite 3 software successfully? Or am I just worrying too much as I plan for my new build?

It is usable. However, it's not a must.

I use it only for fan profiles, other then that I don't use any other feature from it.

Was there a trick to installing it? Did you have to "run as administrator" to install it?

Also, how long have you been using the AI Suite3 software?

Ive been using it for about 7-8 months now. I had more issues with the motherboard then with AI suite3, but I knew of the issues before hand. It was a lot of you have to install this before you install that or you will have big problems. Once I got through all the little problems, which are all noted in forum pages everything works fine.

Like I said I only use it for fan profiles as AI Suite3 will control 3 pin fans connected to the motherboard. It makes everything supper quiet during regular usage and just slightly noisy during gaming, but does a very good job at keeping everything nice and cool.
