Solved! Asus black screen

I have an Asus F555LA that the screen will not come on. It turns on and i can use a HDMI cable and see that it's working on my tv screen. It sat on the coffee table for about a week since the last time I used it and it was fine then. Any ideas?

If the attached display won't work, but it will show on an external screen (like your TV) then either the cable that connects the display or the display itself are your problem.

If it is under warranty, I would contact the manufacturer. If not, then you can either try checking/replacing parts yourself, if you feel comfortable doing so, or take it to a local tech.
