Hello,
I have researched this issue quite a bit but I haven't found a fix for this problem that works for me, I hope you can help.
I have an Asus F556UQ-DM739 Notebook which worked fine until one day I accidentally bumped one side of the chassis and the Display stopped working.
I can still use the Notebook on an external monitor.
I already tried taking the battery out, reinstalling Windows, running mdsched (it says there are no RAM issues) and cleaning the contacts of the cable that connects the motherboard and the screen.
Unfortunately it still doesn't recognize the screen. The screen itself stays black like when it's turned off.
What's weird to me is that the Notebook still locks itself when I fold it.
Do you have an idea what would be the fix to this problem?
Best Regards
Santiago
