Solved! ASUS G50vt - X5 SLI Support?

Hi,

I have an Asus G50VT-x5, I want to upgrade my video card to an 8800 GTX, 8800 GTX is sli ready, does my laptop motherboard support 2 gpus?

Any advice would be appreciated....

Hello xmaicox;

Your Asus G50VT-X5 does not support dual video cards. It was never an option for that model.

Why 8800GTX and not 9800GT? I think they're the same in performance.

Maybe I could do that, I am having second thoughts also, between 8800M GTX and GTX 260M

That's less than a 12% performance improvement. And that's not enough of an increase to make it worthwhile for you.

3DMark 06 score = 10177. That's about a 20% improvement in performance. Have you found a price for a GTX 260M yet?
