After I turn on my laptop (Asus g60v) the screen immediately turns grey but I can hear the sound at startup in relations to the fire animation. I have tried draining static charge for a mintue, and testing the HDMI into my TV to see it it is the video card. But I've a old TV and it says "No Signal". Any help is help, so please anyone.

Have you tried hooking up an external monitor, not a TV, to see if that will work? NOTE: You have to turn off the laptop, hook up the external monitor, turn on the external monitor and then turn on the laptop. Sometimes older TVs just don't like to connect.

If the monitor option works, and you can see on the screen, then your display is the problem. If you can't see on the external monitor either, then it is the graphics card (and possibly the motherboard) that needs replacing.

If the device is under warranty, then I would contact the manufacturer.
