ASUS GL553 boot up restart black screen

I've had my laptop about 3 months now bought it new. this issue just started, every time i restart or turn my laptop off, and it goes to reboot everything lights up but the screen doesn't come on. i push the power button to turn it back off after several attempts it finally comes on.

I would contact the manufacturer as it is still under warranty and it sounds like it may be a hardware issue.
