Asus HS-W1 auto shutdown problem

I recently purchased the wireless headset in the title. Otherwise the headset is fine, but it has an automatic shutdown feature that turns the headset off after certain period of silence. This wouldn't be too bad, but the upon powering the headset back on it won't connect to the USB dongle any more. The dongle needs to be removed and reinserted for the headset to work again.

I have sent Asus a support request on this but have yet to receive a reply. Does anybody know if there is any way to disable this feature, or set the timer higher? I guess Asus won't be patching this since the headset has been out for years and it's still doing this.

I was trying to google for solutions but found nothing, so links to existing solutions/workarounds are also highly appreciated.

OS is win10 64bit in case it helps. I was having troubles logging in and the only way that worked was to create a new user, now managed to log in to my actual account.
