ASUS Laptop doesn't recognize GPT Hard Drive

Hello there,
i am trying to boot from a GPT Hard Drive but it is not appearing as a boot option.If i convert it as MBR it does work,but i need in GPT.It can recognize GPT USB hard drives just fine.
My laptop is ASUS N56VB-S3200H with latest bios.I have enabled/disabled CSM and secure boot is disabled.

Your user manual isn't overly helpful - doesn't say anything about BIOS

Since it has CSM option I can tell its UEFI so does the bios have Windows Boot Manager as a choice in boot list? as if so, try it as it should find the GPT drive.
Does BIOS call itself Aptio?

My hard drive is currently empty without a windows installation since i had just converted to mbr to check if that's the issue.It's recognized as a hard drive in sata information but not as a boot option.In the bootlist,only the cd/dvd drive appears.
Yes the bios is called Aptio.

For GPT drive to be bootable, it must contain EFI system partition with bootloader on it.
It it is empty, it is not bootable (and will not apear in UEFI boot device selection).

Well,i had installed Windows 10 normally and then converted it to GPT and it wasn't detectable.Then i installed Mac OS X with clover UEFI and it was still not detectable,although i was able to boot from the usb clover.

Yes, it helps to have windows on the hdd before it will boot from it

Well,i had installed Windows 10 normally and then converted it to GPT and it wasn't detectable.

Such conversion requires manual steps for it to work. Old bootloader volume has to be deleted and EFI system partition must be created in place of it. Also bootloader has to be recreated after that.
Why not install windows 10 in UEFI mode?

from the look of that laptop it may only have legacy BIOS

latest bios is 2013, the fact it has CSM makes me think its UEFI as well.

The Compatibility Support Module (CSM) is a component of the UEFI firmware that provides legacy BIOS compatibility by emulating a BIOS environment, allowing legacy operating systems and some option ROMs that do not support UEFI to still be used.

if it does have UEFI then it sounds like the OP is not selecting the UEFI boot option or doesn't have any at all. if the OP is trying to install windows 8 or 10 then the option should appear but not sure if it will if they are trying to install windows 7 or lower

Did you originally install win 10 on laptop and it made it GPT but you couldn't boot off it still? Hence you converted it to MBR thinking that would help. If PC made it GPT one would think it can boot GPT.

why do you need it in GPT? unless your SSD is over 2tb in size, or you want more than 4 partitions on drive, then the benefits of GPT are't really there

If PC boots fine in MBR, use that.
