I own the ASUS N550JK and I've absolutely loved it, but I've recently had some hardware issues. A piece in the LCD back panel cracked and broke off, so now the screen is separating from the cover on one side. I could RMA through ASUS as I have about another month left on my warranty, but I would rather not send it away for 3-4 weeks. I've been searching online for a replacement back assembly, but this is the only one I could find: http://www.waresphere.com/store/asus-n550-lcd-back-cover-assembly-13n0-p9a0j41-13nb00k2am0141.html
I'm skeptical of buying it because it says it's for the non-touch model only, but mine is a touch screen variation. I'm asking here to see if there would actually be a difference in the back assembly between the touch and non-touch models. Any help and input would be appreciated! Thanks!

Oh and this is the specific model that I own: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834231684

The touch displays are thicker and heavier. I wouldn't try to get anything for a non-touch model and try to get it to work.

Use your warranty while you have it, and if you can think of any other issues it has, try to make a shopping list and have them clear it all up at once.

I forgot to mention that the keyboard has started up with issues now too. I wasn't sure if it was just that the keyboard by some chance happened top start to go bad that the same time or if the screen seperatring could have done something to a wire somewhere connecting the keyboard. If it helps the hinge appears to be not fully connected properly once the piece in the cover broke.
