Asus QL550LF CPU

Everything I've researched about my laptop says that it has an Intel i7 4500U at 1.8GHz with only 2 cores, making it 2.4GHz. I just ran dxdiag and it says that it has 4 cores. I'm a bit confused by this. Can anyone explain this for me?
