if its the models i googled with a 5700hq on the msi laptop paired with a 960m and 16gb ram vs the asus with a 6700hq with 16gb ram and a 960m the difference between the 6700hq and 5700hq is not that big as far as i know.
as for the gpu and ram they are the same
and for brands they are both good brands i would go for which ever laptop is cheaper or look into a few other laptops
what is your budget and what laptop size do you need?

I would vote MSI GP series because for its cooling system which furnish stable performance when running the game. The Steelseries keyboard is one of great feature of GP as well. You can search Amazon and type gaming laptop. There will come out other good options such as GE series.

spec-wise both are pretty much the same except the screen size, and they are the same price level. Saying 17.3" panel is more expensive than 15.6", than it must take out some design to maintain the cost, maybe the cooling system, some gaming features, etc..just guessing. I'd choose MSI GP62 for this case.
