ASUS ROG help

I have an Asus ROG G750 jm, 2 weeks ago I went to turn it on and it did not respond. I plugged my adapter in and the orange charge light came on and I tried again to turn it on and still nothing.

Then I take the battery out, hold down the power button for 30 seconds and try again and still nothing. I try this battery trick 4 times in a row and no response other than the orange light saying it is charging. I just want to know if there is anything I can do before I have to spend 60 bucks on a new adapter because I think that is the problem.

A digital volt meter from places like harbor freight or Walmart is typically under $10 (often $3 at HF)
You can measure the output voltage yourself.
