Asus T300L Trackpad not scrolling or zooming HELP

So My trackpad for my asus transformerbook T300L was working fine just a couple of hours ago. I decided to download the full version of avast and avast cleanup and then ran each after paying for them and upgrading. since this has happened, scrolling using 2 fingers on the trackpad and the zooming and minimizing with 2 fingers also does not work. I have tried downloading asus smart gesture, and when that did nothing, unistalling it and then reinstalling it and still its not working. PLEASE HELP!!! this is a massive frustration and I am getting worried that buying and running avast did it as that was the last thing I did before doing the scans and such with avast. I just want my trackpad to work correctly again (

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to uninstall/reinstall the Touchpad driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Touchpad driver.
- Once uninstalled and if you have a USB mouse use it to download and install the latest Touchpad driver.

- Reboot the laptop once the latest driver has been installed then test it again after the reboot.
- If the same problem will persist, do run System Restore and bring it back to an earlier date or time when it was working properly.
