I have an asus si30401u ultrabook that refuses to exit aptio setup utility

ive attempted the the fix at

http://www.tomsguide.com/answers/id-1854127/solve-probl...

but i get stuck attempting to get to the recovery menu because either the f keys do nothing, take me to flashing bios, or return me to the utility set up.

If im missing any necessary info i can add whatever needs to be added

The link you posted is incomplete and therefore doesn't work (page not found). This is the complete and correct page address:

If you can't get System Restore to come up, try Factory Recovery instead. Keep tapping F9 as soon as the ASUS splash screen appears.

Note: Factory Recovery will overwrite any files you have saved on the C drive, so I hope you have already backed them up somewhere else! If you haven't and you can still get in to Windows, copy your files to another drive or to optical discs before running Factory Recovery.

Solution
I've tried everything that has been suggested, and when I press F9 repeatedly, I'm taken directly back to the aptio setup utility. Nothing is working and I'm thoroughly frustrated.

Hey Lukomas. I have the exact same problem. Did you manage to fix it?

I didn't at all.

Try to hold down the power key and shut off the computer and then reboot. It worked for me just now.
