Asus V7700 Deluxe on WIN XP

Trying to help my friend get his V7700 deluxe to work for video capture on his Windows XP beta. Asus live works well but when switched to capture driver it shows a garbled screen and won't capture. Something with the capture driver isn't right. If anybody has an idea what driver would work for this, please give us a hint. My frustration built and when I threatened to pitch his computer out of a second story window his response was negative. Tried every driver I could find from ASUS including the ones written for Win 2000. Either they would switch to a garbled screen using the capture mode, or it wouldn't work. Help!

I had a lot of trouble with my ATI AIW at first but the Microsoft certified drivers from M$ developer site cured my problem. New stuff always has bugs or lacks specific driver support. In time you will find what you need.

The easiest thing to do is switch to an older better supported OS.

I have v8200 Deluxe. Besides selecting the appropriate capture driver, make sure that select the appropriate input from the card. Some software allows you to select Cable, S-Video, or composite. It worked for me.
