I am in the market for a laptop, I have narrowed it down to these two. The HP has the better specs but I don't have much confidence in the brand. ASUS is a brand I trust from my desktop PC. With HP I worry of overheating or a noisy fan or just cheap components in general. The ASUS looks to be a 2013 model, and the HP a 2014 model. From looking around of the internet, I read ASUS laptops are reliable, but generally only ready bad things about HP laptops.
Anyone have experience with either laptop or can give any advice? I filled in the FAQ below too so feel free to suggest anything else.

Not fussed
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? 120GB

ASUS used and trusted. Open to using other brands providing hardware is good. Will be fresh installing windows 8.1 on the laptop so not worried about pre installed junk.
