Solved! Asus with broken screen not working even after connecting to TV via HDMI

Hi!
I have an Asus laptop whose LCD display was broken recently. So currently I'm using it by connecting to my Sony Bravia TV. I faced problems like a blue screen appeared saying something like Error.... Your PC will restart... and stuff. It happened twice. And when I turned on my PC after second time, I thing the TV could not recognise my Lappy because the laptops screen was on and the TV's screen was as it was before connecting HDMI cable. So what can i do now? Any help wud be highly appreciated

most lappy you have to use the funtion key to turn both on.
