Hi!
Looking for a new laptop for school. Does not need to be capable of any significant gaming performance, gaming desktop will be used for this. I've looked and looked and have settled for either one of these 2 laptops:
Lenovo Yoga 710: 900 euro's
Processor
Intel Core i7-6500U Processor
Operating system
Windows 10 Home 64
Display type
14.0" FHD LED Multitouch 1920x1080
System Graphics
Intel HD Graphics 520
Total memory
8.0GB PC4-17000 DDR4 2133 MHz
Hard drive device
256GB SSD M.2
Network card
802.11 AC(2x2)+BT4.0
Warranty
2 Years on device + 6(!) months on battery
Battery
52Wh
Asus Zenbook UX310UA 850 euro's
Processor
Intel Core i5-6200U Processor
Operating system
Windows 10 Home 64
Display type
13.3'' FHD 1920x1080
System Graphics
Intel HD Graphics 520
Total memory
8.0GB PC4-17000 DDR4 2133 MHz
Hard drive device
128GB SSD
Network card
802.11 AC(2x2)+BT4.0
Warranty
Full 2 year
Battery
48 Wh
I honestly don't care about the lenovo's capabilty to bend in all kinds of shapes, I just want a good laptop. Not sure about only getting 6 months on the battery of the Lenovo, much rather have 2 years but the odds of it breaking cant be massive. The thing about the Asus is that it only has the i5, I figure it's 10% slower than the i7 found in the lenovo, not the greatest deal but still. The asus also only comes with 128 gb of storage but I think it will be enough and fast small usb drives are not that expensive anymore. This does limit the amount of storage for programs and small games. Battery life is key for me, both of them seem to have a decent battery.
Which do you think is the better choice?
