Was this test done with their latest firmware patch which holds fixes for the camera? I bought it and will be getting it next week, I picked it over the Nexus 6p because of the Zoom, I've seen other reviews with photos comparisons and people really say that the update takes care of many of it's camera issues

Yes, this is with everything up to date. If there is a new patch coming, we have yet to receive it.
